Proviron mesterolone: what is known about the substance

General information

Proviron mesterolone, better known under the brand name “Proviron” is an anabolic steroid, although it is used mainly as an antiestrogen drug. The thing is that Proviron is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and DHT has the ability to attach to the estrogen receptor, blocking them.

Proviron can be considered almost a complete analogue of drostanolone, with one exception: Proviron mesterolone dosage molecules practically do not attach to androgen receptors in muscle tissue, that is, this drug is not able to influence muscle growth at all. But Proviron Mesterolone molecules are actively attached to androgen receptors in other tissues, so that Proviron is able to increase libido (often very noticeably), as well as accelerate recovery after exercise.

Proviron also has two more interesting features: firstly, it is able to reduce the level of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) in the blood, which means an increase in the amount of free testosterone. And secondly, Proviron is able to increase the level of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and stimulate spermatogenesis, which can be useful during the recovery period after the “course” of androgens and anabolic steroids (AAS).

As already mentioned, Mesteroloneis considered an antiestrogen, but much weaker than Clomid, Tamoxifen, and especially aromatase inhibitors. The antiestrogenic “ability” of Proviron mesterolone steroid is used at the stage of preparation for the competition (“drying”) – here it can serve as a substitute for drostanolone.

But at the stage of post-course therapy (PCT), it is not possible to manage with Proviron alone. However, the use of Proviron Mesterolone during PCT is desirable: it helps to maintain a normal libido and increase FSH levels.

Dosages Proviron mesterolone

The optimal dosage of Proviron when used as an antiestrogen is 50-75 mg per day.

If your goal is to increase FSH levels and restore spermatogenesis, then Proviron should be taken at 75-100 mg per day.

To increase libido, Proviron is taken 50-100 mg per day.

The daily dose is usually divided into 2-3 doses.

Combination with other drugs

Proviron can be used during the period of weight gain – to reduce the level of SHBG. It is combined with absolutely any drug of the AAS class. For this purpose, Proviron mesterolone bodybuilding should be taken for 10-14 days.

During the “drying” Proviron will come in handy at the final stage (2-3 weeks before the start) – it will give the muscles the necessary rigidity. Its combination with absolutely any of the anabolic steroids used during this period, except for drostanolone, can be considered optimal.

During PCT, Proviron Mesterolone can be combined with other antiestrogenic drugs. To increase FSH levels, this drug must be taken for at least one month.

Side effects Proviron mesterolone

Proviron Mesterolone in no way suppresses the production of its own testosterone, and also has virtually no effect on the liver. It is generally not recommended for those who have prostate tumors. Finally, prolonged and often painful erections are possible in case of overdose.
