RPG

RPG Life Sciences is an Indian pharmaceutical company. This company, formerly known as Searle Ltd, was part of RPG Enterprises. The most important areas of activity, there are three of them, are, of course, production (the most important), marketing of products known as APIs, translated as active pharmaceutical ingredients. The Indian company is present in the domestic market as well as internationally. RPGLS exports its products to many countries around the world.

History

The Indian Pharmaceutical Company was founded in 1968. It was a joint venture with GD Searle, USA. After that, in 1993, GD Searle sold its assets to the RPG Group and left India. After that, on April 1, 1999, they decided to change the name of the company, its name became RPG Life Sciences Ltd. RPGLS was engaged in the creation of pharmaceutical and agrochemical products. In 2001, RPG Life Sciences sold its agrochemicals business because the company only wanted to grow in one direction: pharmaceuticals.

Business

At the moment, the Indian company operates in the field of healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and generics.

Three whales on which this wonderful company stands: the first of them is production; the second is the marketing of bulk products (synthetic active pharmaceutical ingredients); third, pharmaceutical formulations; and fermentation and biotechnology.

The health division is divided into specialist divisions Sertec and Acumed. The first division specializes in medicines for chronic and critical illnesses, while the second division specializes in chronic ones. And now the third division called Medillion sells generics. Like any pharmaceutical company, RPGLS is committed to developing new and more effective drug formulations. To do this, they provide qualified specialists in the field of chemical engineering and physical chemistry with separate laboratories for the creation of new products.

The company also has a biotechnology business, which is mainly focused on fermentation products. This division was founded in 1998. It was made to discuss exceptionally expensive life-saving medicines produced by fermentation using biotechnology. This excellent division has established itself in Indian and worldwide markets for its APIs and finished dosage forms. RPGLS supplies its medicines to different countries of the world.
